1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the owners of the site.

This Cookie Policy explains how TOGETHER TO GOALS MTÜ ("TTG", "we", "us") uses cookies on togethertogoals.com (the "Website"), and how you can control them. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. Legal Framework

The use of cookies is governed by:

  • Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive) as implemented in Estonian law;
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR);
  • Guidelines issued by the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).

Under the ePrivacy framework, strictly necessary cookies do not require your prior consent. For any other cookie categories, we will request your consent before placing cookies.

3. Cookies We Currently Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Website to function correctly. They enable core features such as session management, security, and language preferences. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the functionality of the Website, and under the ePrivacy Directive they do not require your prior consent.

  • Session cookie (PHP session): A temporary cookie that is deleted when you close your browser. It maintains the state of your browsing session (e.g., selected language, form data).
  • ttg_cookies_accepted: Stores your acknowledgement of this cookie notice in localStorage (not a cookie in the traditional sense, but used for similar purposes). It is retained in your browser until you clear your local storage.

3.2 Payment Security Cookies (Third-Party)

When you proceed to a payment page, our payment processors may set their own cookies for fraud prevention, security verification, and transaction integrity:

  • Stripe: Stripe may set cookies for fraud detection and payment session management. These are governed by Stripe's Cookies Policy.
  • EveryPay: EveryPay may set session and security cookies during bank-link payment flows on their own domain. TTG has no control over these cookies.

TTG accepts no liability for cookies set by third-party payment processors on their own domains. These cookies are set under the legal basis of legitimate interests in fraud prevention and transaction security.

3.3 Analytics Cookies (Future Use)

We do not currently use analytics or statistics cookies (such as Google Analytics). We may introduce analytics tools in the future to better understand how visitors use the Website. If and when we do, we will update this Cookie Policy and request your consent before placing any non-essential analytics cookies.

3.4 Marketing and Tracking Cookies

We do not use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not operate any retargeting campaigns, behavioural advertising, or third-party tracking networks on the Website.

4. Cookie Summary

5. How to Control and Disable Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in a number of ways. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Website.

5.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through the browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. The steps vary depending on your browser:

5.2 Withdrawing Consent

If you have accepted our cookie notice, you may withdraw your acknowledgement at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. Doing so will cause the cookie notice to reappear on your next visit. This does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that has taken place prior to withdrawal.

5.3 Third-Party Opt-Out

You can opt out of Stripe's use of cookies by reviewing Stripe's cookie settings at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. As there is no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, the Website does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. We will revisit this position if a standard is adopted.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Cookie Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.

8. Contact

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at info@togethertogoals.com.

For complaints regarding our data processing practices, you may also contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon): www.aki.ee.
